Microcurrent pulse equipment delivers minute electrical pulses designed to mirror the body's own bio-electric field. Treatment should never be painful, is usually imperceptible, and at most is felt as mild tingling.
Whilst originally invented as a treatment for facial palsy, microcurrent has been used in Aesthetics for a number of years, where it is often known as 'facial toning' or non-surgical face lifting', for its advantages in skin tightening and rejuvenation. Benefits include:
Galvanic Treatment with the OPERA LED Facemask
Galvanic current is an optional modality (MPDE 4) on the OPERA LED mask and is used in conjunction with hydrogel masks. It can be used as an independent treatment regime, or in combination with LED light therapy
When using the galvanic current option of the OPERA mask, treatment begins with the strongest energy setting (level 5) and reduced incrementally only if it causes discomfort or irritation.
The microcurrent pulses instantaneously open pores in the skin while the changing charge actively pushes nutrients and products (either from the hydrogel mask or other cosmetics) through the skin barrier and into the deeper layers of the epidermis
Treatment duration can vary from 5 to 30 minutes

Benefits of Galvanic Facial Treatments
Providing Galvanic treatment as an addition to LED light therapy results in improved skin hydration, as well as the benefits generated by the specific LED mode chosen and any cosmetic products applied.
